De Ligt and Mazraoui set for Man United debuts

Excited, Manchester United fans?

The Red Devils fan base was buzzing when the club snatched up both Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui on Tuesday.

Their arrivals from Bayern Munich are a major boost to United's defence, and we could see them in there sooner rather than later.

It seems Erik ten Hag is likely to give them minutes in the club's Premier League opener against Fulham tomorrow night.

But will they start, or will it be off the bench?

Postecoglou: 'Solanke has settled in well'

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham boss, on new striker Dominic Solanke:

Thankfully it's what we expected. He's a top pro and a good guy, he's settled into the dressing room really well. Football wise you can see he has all the attributes we need. He still needs time to fit in.
He's fitting in well with the group and training. We've still got a couple of training sessions to go but he's doing well. He should be [available on Monday].

Silva: 'Smith-Rowe is a top talent'

Marco Silva, Fulham manager, on signing Emile Smith-Rowe:

One of the things that pushed me to fight to have him with us, was about his decision to leave Arsenal because he’s been there since he was nine years old, and that’s not an easy decision to make.
The main thing for me was to feel the desire from Emile to come to our club. That’s what convinced me to push our board that he was going to be the right guy to have at our club. I knew that he was going to make our fans love him, it was like a statement for us.
He’s a top, top talent and I know we will make him play at his best level again. When I see a player with talent with a desire to play for our club, it makes me want to push to have them with us.

Guehi: 'I'm really grateful to Palace'

Marc Guehi, Crystal Palace defender, speaking on his future at the club:

I’m really grateful to the club. This club gave me the opportunity to play in the Premier League, something so many kids dream of. For them to stick by me and have the belief in me is amazing, giving me the platform to develop and express myself.
It's humbling for someone as big as the chairman to say something like that, it's really nice. I’m not sure I’m a superstar or generational talent but I'm really grateful for those words.

Will he stay or will he go?

There's talk on the grapevine that Napoli, yes, Napoli are interested in signing Scott McTominay this summer. It's clear to all of us so must be clear to the Scotsman, that he's surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Why not try Naples? Antonio Conte will certainly put him through his paces. According to talkSPORT, the Serie A side are interested in a loan deal.

Cherries close to reinvesting Solanke windfall

Bournemouth are reportedly closing in on a deal for Porto striker Evanilson. Arsenal fans might remember him for his decent performance against the Gunners in the last-16 of the Champions League last term.

Whether he can take some of the goalscoring burden left by Dominic Solanke and cut it in the Premier League week-to-week is another question.

More on Phillips' switch to Portman Road

Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is close to completing a season-long loan move to a Premier League side.

The Englishman has struggled for minutes at the Etihad in recent years, in addition to a disappointing loan spell at West Ham in the previous campaign.

Despite travelling with Man City to the United States as part of their pre-season tour - where he featured as a central defender - Phillips failed to impress Pep Guardiola.

The TEN players Chelsea are willing to sell to balance the books after another spending spree

At the time of writing, Chelsea have already signed 12 new players this summer with seven exiting Stamford Bridge. But the Blues are not yet finished in the transfer market, not even close.

Chelsea's most expensive deal of the summer so far was completed on Sunday when Pedro Neto arrived from Wolves for £54million.

That took Chelsea's summer spending beyond £160m. The sales of Ian Maatsen, Hakim Ziyech, Omari Hutchinson and Lewis Hall have seen the London outfit recoup just over half that figure.

Chelsea 'close in on a deal for Osihmen...and Lukaku'

The Blues have been trying to rid themselves of Romelu Lukaku for at least two seasons at this point and they maybe finally have found a way to do it. The even better news for the west London club is that they could be set to land one of the most sought after strikers in European football at the same time.

Forget the fact that their roster is already bursting full of attacking options, pretty much all options for that matter.

According to reports, former boss Antonio Conte - who is now in charge of the Neapolitants - wants two players in return for the Nigerian striker, as well as £39million.
