Birmingham Airport to wipe Dean Saunders' huge parking bill if Wales win Euro 2016
- Dean Saunders racked up a £1,000 parking bill at Birmingham Airport
- Pundit did not think Wales would get far at Euro 2016 but was wrong
- Saunders was forced to stay in France with BBC while bill increased
- But the airport have said they will waive the fee if Wales win Euro 2016
Dean Saunders will have his parking bill of well over £1,000 cleared if Wales win Euro 2016, Birmingham Airport have said.
The former Wales striker, who is working as a pundit for the BBC in France, left his car in a short stay car park at Airport as he did not expect to be in France for long.
But the former Aston Villa and Galatasaray front-man's stay across the channel has been extended due to Wales reaching the semi-finals - seeing the cost on his return rise by £100 per day.

However, Saunders' countrymen could save the pundit from a hefty fine with two more victories in France - after Birmingham Airport said he would not have to pay the fine if Wales win the tournament.
They took to Twitter in response to a crowd-funding effort set up to help Saunders, contacting his footballer sun Callum.
Birmingham Airport posted: 'We can't get more clothes to him but tell him if Wales win we'll waive the parking charge!'

Whether Wales win or not, Saunders said before Friday's quarter-final win over Belgium that he was happy to pay the fine in order to see Wales advance further.
'I tell you how confident I was with Wales. I parked in the short-stay car park at Birmingham Airport two weeks ago,' Saunders told BBC Radio Five Live.
'I took a little suitcase that fitted onto the plane so I've run out of clothes and now I'm going to have a £1,000 bill when I get back to Birmingham because they charge you a fortune.
'But I'm just happy to be here.'
Wales can move one step closer to wiping Saunders bill by beating Portugal in their semi-final in Lyon on Wednesday night.
