Antoine Griezmann admits France's distaste for players who chase individual success means he is not 'obsessed' with winning the Ballon d'Or.
The France and Atletico Madrid forward is among the contenders for the prestigious award, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Luka Modric also in contention.
During a stellar 2018, Griezmann led Les Bleus to their second World Cup triumph just weeks after securing the Europa League with Atletico.

And the 27-year-old hopes to cap his year by picking up football's biggest individual accolade at the ceremony in Paris next month.
'I want to win it (Ballon d'Or) too,' Griezmann said after France's 1-0 friendly win over Uruguay on Tuesday
But on whether it had become an obsession, he added: 'No, that is a problem with France.
'People there do not like when you seek something for yourself individually, but I'm proud to be there and hopefully I will win it.
'Of course, there are other people who can win it and they deserve it too, so let's see what happens.'
Griezmann scored four goals as France went all the way in Russia and he has carried his good form into this season, amassing six goals and four assists in 17 appearances.
Griezmann also helped Atletico secure victory in the Europa League during a stellar 12 months
