Golf fans left furious with ScotRail after lengthy queues hold up travel to and from Royal Troon for The Open
Golf fans were left furious on Wednesday after being left to queue for 90 minutes for trains taking them to and from Troon.
Thousands of people had to wait outside Glasgow's Central Station in the morning for transport to the Open venue.
Despite ScotRail promising that it would cope with the huge numbers, there was no evidence of any extra services.

Fans had come out in their numbers, hoping to get a glimpse of star names like Bob MacIntyre

It's believed that the operator was bargaining on around 2,000 fans travelling by train to Ayrshire only for 10,000 to turn up.
Despite the early warning on what was the final practice day, the situation was no better when fans tried to make the return journey.
Initially good natured, the atmosphere threatened to turn ugly when one train was allowed to leave the platform with carriages that were almost empty.
One fan said: 'It's simply embarrassing. There are people here from all over the world.
'They've known for years that the Open is on this week and it's as if they've been completely taken by surprise.'
Around 250,000 fans will flock to Troon this week for the 152nd Open.
