NFL star Randall Cobb 'lucky to be alive' after Tesla charger catches fire and sets his house ABLAZE

New York Jets wide receiver Randall Cobb will be looking for a new home after his house caught on fire.

According to an Instagram post from his wife, Aiyda, a faulty Tesla charger is to blame.

'We are lucky to be alive. The Tesla charger caught on fire in the garage late last night and quickly spread,' Aiyda posted on her story.

'We got out of the house with nothing but the clothes on our back and no shoes on our feet.

'I'll explain more later but posting this in case I miss any appts, calls, texts, meetings. Thank you GOD.'

It's not clear at the time of publishing how many members of Cobb's family were home.

Cobb and his wife share three children - including a newborn, Chance Atlas, that they welcomed back in March.

Last season, Cobb underperformed in his first season with the Jets - playing in eleven games but only catching five passes for 39 yards and one touchdowns.

He'll hope that this year will feature a fully healthy Aaron Rodgers who will be looking for an old Green Bay Packers connection.
