Woman in Latrell Mitchell's white powder photo makes shock new claims about what happened on the night the image was taken - as NRL issue five-day ultimatum to Rabbitohs star

  • Amy Brown has publicly protested her innocence on Facebook
  • Accused of leaking an image featuring NRL star Latrell Mitchell
  • Brown posted who she believes sent on the image of Mitchell
  • On Thursday NRL Integrity Unit served fullback a Breach Notice

The woman who appears in Latrell Mitchell's white powder photo has made fresh claims about what unfolded on the night the image was taken of the NRL star from a Dubbo hotel room.

It comes as the South Sydney fullback was issued a Breach Notice on Thursday afternoon, alleging a breach of the NRL Code of Conduct following an NRL Integrity Unit investigation this week.

'The particulars of the Breach Notice are that Mitchell featured in imagery, which emerged publicly on 12 August 2024, which depicted him acting in a manner which has brought the game into disrepute,' a statement read.

Mitchell has five business days to respond to the Breach Notice.

In relation to the now infamous image of Mitchell, Amy Brown - the woman from the hotel room - posted a status update on Facebook earlier this week where she outed herself as the other person in the photo.

Brown also admitted she 'likes to have a bit of fun and do bags [drugs] when I go out....no shame in that.'

Brown has since been accused by Dubbo locals of leaking the photo of Mitchell to the media - and on Thursday, she offered her version of events while also protesting her innocence.

'The reason I did it [confirm her identity in the image] is because I have everyone accusing me of doing wrong,' Brown responded to another Facebook user.

'My so called friend posted a picture of me and it landed in the wrong hands.

'I have every right to write this status but I'm still being criticised.....all I did was go to a motel where my friend was because she called me up after a night out, I went there for no longer than an hour and left.

'Your (sic) all blaming the wrong person here.'

Brown went onto reveal who she believes sent the photo of Mitchell on Snapchat - before adding her personal intention is to 'clear my name.'

She concluded by posting 'I know what I did and didn’t do.'

After the image which appears to show Mitchell bending over white powder on a table and holding his left hand up to his face, the Rabbitohs reported the photo to the NRL Integrity Unit.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest the white substance is an illicit drug.

The NRL quizzed Mitchell about the image on Tuesday over the phone as he remains sidelined with a foot injury that could see him miss the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, as Brown defended herself from accusations that she leaked the image using Apple's AirDrop function - which allows users to send items to other devices -she made a threat in a Facebook exchange with another woman on Wednesday.

The woman on the receiving end of the threat - Kerri Cochrane, who is the mother of Cronulla Sharks star Braydon Trindall - has also been accused of distributing the image.

She also denied any involvement.

'I'm not gonna sit back and lie about anything,' Brown wrote on Facebook.

'I was shown [the photo] at the football on Sunday. Didn't even know that picture existed until then. I wouldn't even know how to air drop.

'But I do know one thing i'll f**king drop you next time I see you.'

Mitchell has kept a low profile since the photo circulated online, but his advisor Matt Rose revealed the footy star's mental state.

'Latrell is doing OK,' he said on Tuesday. 'Yeah, I mean, at this stage under NRL rules he can't make any comment.

'Has he had a chance to actually speak to the integrity unit yet to explain himself?

'That's all happening at the moment. 'Once that's finished he'll be able to speak to you then.'
