Alica Schmidt, dubbed the 'World's sexiest athlete', has taken her fans on a virtual tour of the Olympic Village.

The German star runner shared a fun compilation on her Instagram page of the activities available to athletes after they finish competing at the Paris Olympics.

Some of the highlights from the list included getting a personalised stamp from official Games partner La Poste and enjoying complimentary baguettes, croissants and fizzy drinks provided in the Village.

However, Schmidt remembers maintaining her physical condition at the highest level - possibly as an early preparation for the next Olympics - biking through the Village and attending meditation sessions.

The 25-year-old appeared to be particularly pleased with the coffee that had her personal print on top.

However, Schmidt's and her team's performance could have been better throughout the tournament as Team Germany finished 10th overall in the medal table and were brutally eliminated from the mixed 4x400 relay.

Jamaica were at the top of the heat, with the Netherlands, Ireland, and Canada also progressing after a tense clash.

Schmidt was chosen over her team-mate Luna Bulmahn, who was highly expected to start in the women's 4x400 at the Stade de France.

Tensions were growing after Team Germany's disappointing performance, and Bulmahn expressed her frustration, saying: 'Yes, I am the second fastest 400m athlete on paper. No, I was not nominated for the mixed relay.'

Following the Olympics end, the 25-year-old runner posted an emotional message on Instagram, describing the past three weeks 'an emotional rollercoaster.'

'As an athlete I am still not where I want to be and maybe I will never be,' wrote Schmidt, expressing her aspirations for future tournaments: 'And to those athletes who didn‘t make it to Paris this year, never stop believing in yourself.

'It‘s a bumpy road and one day all your hard work will eventually pay off!'

However, it could have been a successful Olympics for Schmidt, who garnered a lot of attention throughout the tournament and currently boasts over 5.7 million followers on Instagram.

In 2017, Australian magazine Busted Coverage dubbed her the 'World's sexiest athlete,' and Paris 2024 was not her first Olympics.

Schmidt was selected for the 4x400m relay event as a substitute for Team Germany at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, but she didn't run as her side came fourth, narrowly missing out on the bronze medal.
