Glamorous Olympic swimmer Luana Alonso shares racy snap after 'inappropriate conduct' at the Olympics

  • Alonso went viral online during the Olympics after being removed from village
  • She was said to have created an 'inappropriate atmosphere' with her behaviour
  • The 20-year-old, who retired from swimming, has now said she is enjoying life

Glamorous Olympic swimmer Luana Alonso has shared a racy selfie in the wake of reportedly being removed from the Olympic village after creating an 'inappropriate atmosphere' with her behaviour.

The 20-year-old athlete went viral on social media during the two-week competition despite failing to qualify for the semi-finals in her 100m butterfly event in Paris.

Alonso's newfound notoriety has more to do with her hasty exit from the French capital, with team chiefs thought to have had an issue with the swimmer distracting her team-mates, scheduling trips in Paris away from the village, and sporting her own choice of outfits rather than wearing the team's uniforms.

Alonso herself posted a message on social media that claimed she 'didn't want to make a statement' but was 'not going to let the lies affect me either'.

Now, she has taken to social media to share an eye-catching snap for her 1.2million followers, wearing what appears to be only a bikini top on her top half and a towel covering her bottom half.

The snap, shared to her Instagram story, was captioned 'life been good', and also featured another selfie alongside a snap of some food and a cat.

Alonso has regularly shared snaps of her life on her Instagram account, from pool pictures to her adventures away from swimming.

In August, she posted snaps taken in Qatar, including a bikini picture taken on a jet-ski and one of her riding a camel.

Also on Wednesday, alongside the racy snap, she shared a video of a view from a golf cart alongside what appeared to be a friend.

The swimmer returned to social media to post a picture of herself back in competitive mode at the gym after the end of her Olympic journey in Paris.

Alonso tagged her athletic sponsor in the post, which appeared to suggest she was gearing up for a return to the pool, despite retiring from the discipline shortly after the completion of her time at the Games.

Alonso previously swam for Southern Methodist University and Virginia Tech at collegiate level.

'Swimming: thank you for allowing me to dream, you taught me to fight, to try, perseverance, sacrifice, discipline and many more,' Alonso posted two weeks ago, three years on from competing in her first Olympic Games in Tokyo.

'I gave you part of my life and I don't change it for anything in the world because I lived the best experiences of my life, you gave me thousands of joys, friends from other countries that I will always carry them in my heart, unique opportunities.

'It's not goodbye, it's see you soon.'

Alonso's exit from the Olympic village ahead of schedule, which the retired athlete has been keen to stress was her decision, remains shrouded in mystery.

Speaking to Le Parisien last week, the Paraguay Olympic Committee said the swimmer left of her own free will, but insisted that the youngster made other athletes and the country's delegation feel uncomfortable.
