European Championship winners Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas and Jurgen Klinsmann join BBC's punditry team for Euro 2020 coverage - as TV schedule for group stage is revealed

  • TV schedule for group stage has also been confirmed with BBC showing England's opening match against Croatia, with final two matches on ITV

The BBC have confirmed their broadcasting team for the upcoming European Championship, with Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas and Jurgen Klinsmann joining Gary Lineker, Gabby Logan and Co.

The trio of European Championship winners will team up with regular pundits Alex Scott, Jermaine Jenas, Micah Richards, Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand, while Ashley Williams and Mark Hughes will provide a Welsh perspective, with Scots James McFadden and Shelley Kerr on board too.

The BBC will show the opening match between Turkey and Italy on the night of June 11 and also host England's group opener against Croatia two days later - but England's final two matches against Scotland and Czech Republic are both on ITV.

Leading the BBC's coverage along with Lineker and Logan will be fellow presenters Eilidh Barbour and Mark Chapman.

Fabregas is sure to be used for Spain v Sweden on June 14, but the BBC won't broadcast a France or Germany match until the final day of the group stage on June 23.

France's crunch clash with Germany on June 15 will be shown on ITV. 

Chapman is joined by Steve Crossman and Emma Saunders in fronting the BBC's radio coverage of Euro 2020 on 5 Live, where they will be joined by English co-commentators Karen Carney and Chris Waddle, Scottish trio Pat Nevin, Erin Cuthbert and Charlie Adam, and Welsh duo Nathan Blake and James Collins.

The schedule for the knockout stages will be confirmed once the group stage is completed on June 23.
