The Bachelorette's Brooke Blurton wastes no time sending home her first suitor just hours after he failed to impress her on the red carpet
Brooke Blurton eliminated her first contestant from The Bachelorette during Wednesday night's season premiere.
Carpenter Johann Alessandrini, 27, was left empty-handed at the first rose ceremony and was immediately sent home, despite getting next to no time with Brooke.
'I'm sorry, Johann, but you did not receive a rose. Please take the time to say goodbye,' host Osher Günsberg told him, before he quietly left the mansion.

Johann was in the final two with Jess Franklin, who had ruffled feathers earlier in the episode by going for a cosy chat with Brooke on a 'love seat' one of the other suitors had made for her.
It's not too surprising that Johann was eliminated, after getting just seconds of screen time during his earlier introduction with Brooke.
'What's your name? Johann. Oh Johann! Beautiful!' Brooke said on the red carpet, after he'd presented her with what appeared to be baked goods.

Johann later told producers: 'I think she was great, I was great. It was all good!'
He then let out an enormous yelp of excitement.
Before his swift elimination, Johann had told the St George and Sutherland Shire Leader he was excited to be a part of such a history-making series.

'I never thought I was really the type of guy to go onto a show like The Bachelorette, but I also couldn't deny the opportunity for personal growth,' he said.
'There are males and females all vying for Brooke's heart - mix that in with a couple of group dates and cocktail parties and you've got yourself a good watch.'
The Bachelorette continues Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel 10
