Madonna encourages her fans to 'follow the joy' weeks before her 65th birthday... as she continues to recover from a health scare

Madonna shared some words of encouragement with her fans on Friday. 

The 64-year-old artist shared a trio of snaps in her Instagram Stories encouraging her followers to 'Follow The Joy.'

The Lucky Star singer looked glamorous in the same leather and mesh corset top she wore in a video marking the 40th anniversary of her first album for the posts. 

The Holiday artist's makeup looked flattering with a soft rose gold lip.

In the first picture, Madonna faced the camera head on, her mouth in a slight pucker as a glimpse of her tongue juts between her teeth.

The icon will turn 65-years-old on August 16. 

The word 'Follow' was typed in white letters at the bottom.  

The Grammy winner's long blonde hair was styled in loose waves cascading down her back.

She pumped up the hip factor, wearing dark sunglasses.  

Her manicure featured blue and white polish in a different design on each finger. 

Madonna removed the shades for the second photo, adopting a vulnerable look with her head tilted to the right.

The word 'The' was placed on the left. 

She turned up the energy for the final photo, flashing a peace sign under the word 'Joy.'

The Vogue singer postponed the US leg of her Celebration tour due to her illness, but plans on beginning the European leg in October.

'I hate to disappoint anyone,' she wrote explaining the scheduling changes in a lengthy post July 10 following her release from the hospital. 

Two sources told People it was Madonna's dogged dedication to perfecting her performance for the upcoming tour which contributed to her getting seriously sick.  

'She ignored some symptoms of illness for quite a while because she thought they would go away. But she didn’t want to take time away from rehearsals,' one insider to the outlet. 

'Madonna has been very busy for a long time and not taking care of herself. She just continues to push herself beyond the limit,' confirmed the other.

In her Father's Day tribute to her father, Silvio, 91, the Material Girl hinted at the source of her determination writing, 'Thanks for your unrelenting work ethic and Love and for refusing to spoil me in any wAy.'

'You taught me how to be a Survivor! ♥️ Forever Grateful,' she said before adding, 'But also really tired…… xxxxxxxx'
