Madonna is happy to be alive.
The Rebel Heart crooner said so in a caption for a new Instagram post just a month after she nearly died from a bacterial infection and had to be rushed to the hospital.
The star wrote in her Instagram caption, 'It’s great to be Alive….. and Amazing to Be able to put on my dancing shoes and Celebrate my Birthday! Im So Grateful. Thank you Lisbon and to all who made it possible! ♥️'
The singer shared several new images and videos from her 65th birthday celebration in Portugal.
Among the surprises in the fast-past clip played to her song Vogue was a snapshot of her daughter Lourdes singing to her mother.
Lourdes wore a white dress and high heels with her long black hair down as she belted out a tune.

Maha earlier shared an image with Madonna where she did not use any filters, so fans got a look at the real, unretouched Material Girl.
Maha, who is the Co-Head of Motiona PIctures & International Film Groups at the prestigious Creative Artists Agency (CAA), beamed while wearing a lacy white blouse that hung loosely off her shoulder as she posed with Madonna in one snap.
The musician was dressed in a black short-sleeve shrug with white tiger-like stripes.
Her long blond hair obscured it in the photo, but she paired the top with a lacy black corset and baggy black pants with a similar striped pattern and an illustration of a roaring panther on the front.

Maha clasped one of Madonna's black-gloved hands in her own as they sat posing for the picture.
Unlike Madonna's usual photos and videos, which present her with extremely smooth and detail-free skin, the picture highlighted her natural complexion while still emphasizing her incredible age-defying beauty.

She include a second photo of herself beaming as she followed Madonna through the streets of Lisbon as she continued her birthday celebrations.
The Like A Prayer singer was now dressed in a cream-colored ensemble covered in abstract red-and-black designs, and she wore angular white cat-eye sunglasses invigorated with a crust of jewels on the edges of the frames.

The triumphant birthday posts came a day after Madonna announced the rescheduled dates for her Celebration Tour, following a health battle brought on by a serious bacterial infection.
Although she has not shared exactly what the infection was that she was afflicted with, she shared her gratitude shortly after being discharged from the hospital in late June.
'I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,' she wrote.
And to celebrate her new lease on life, Madonna Louise Ciccone shared a video to TikTok captioned 'Happy Birthday to me!' which saw the singer appear younger than ever with a remarkably smooth visage.
In true Madonna fashion, things got a little risqué as she lifted her arms to reveal a black lace bra and signature corset underneath a silk top.

Madonna toasted her 65th bash during an intimate dinner in Lisbon, Portugal — where she resided between 2017 and 2020 — on Tuesday night as the clock struck midnight.
In a video shared on social media, the mother-of-six was seen dining with her friends and family as she gave a short speech, declaring: 'It's great to be alive!'
According to The Portugal News, the performer will remain is Portugal's coastal capital city until the weekend.
'She landed with about 30 friends from all over the world, on a normal plane because she is an environmentalist, she gave up her private plane a few years ago,' CMTV columnist Adriano Silva Martins revealed.
The Holiday hitmaker is staying overnight at the Hotel Pestana Palace.
