Carol Vorderman screams as she has four Boa snakes put on her back and snails on her face for bizarre beauty treatments

She may have faced her fears in the I'm A Celebrity jungle, but Carol Vorderman screamed as she came face to face with Boa constrictor snakes on Wednesday's Steph's Packed Lunch.  

The presenter, 62, stepped in for host Steph and got more than she bargained for when producers told her to try out a range of weird and wacky TikTok beauty treatments with animals. 

First, Carol had four boa snakes placed on her back with the reptiles supposed to release endorphins and have a massaging effect on the skin.

Clearly not enjoying the experience, Carol shrieked: 'It's not massaging me at all! That's horrible. Oh my God, where's that going?'

Asked how she found the experience, Carol replied: 'That was really not nice, they're quite heavy.'

Carol then gamely underwent the snail facial treatment - supposed to result in firmer and softer skin due to the hyaluronic acid they secrete. 

Two were placed on her face and allowed to roam, with Carol closing her eyes with baited breath until they were removed by their handler. 

Carol joined on the show by her former I'm A Celebrity campmates, Fatima Whitbread and Shaun Ryder, with Steph set to return to her hosting duties for Thursday's show. 

Despite the terrifying challenge, Carol left the Channel 4 studios in Leeds with a smile on her face. 

The former Countdown presenter showed off her curves in a figure-hugging blue zip-up jumpsuit which she teamed with sky-scraper black heels. 

Carol teamed the look with a long cream raincoat and posed for a selfie with fans who waited outside.  

It comes after Carol revealed she had made her British Vogue debut at the age of 62 in an exciting Instagram post, last month.

The presenter took to social media last week to share a clip of herself flicking through the iconic September issue, while revealing she'd been listed as one of the magazine's famous Vogue 25.

In the clip, Carol could be seen flicking through the magazine while sat in her garden joking she 'wasn't sure' how she was considered for the coveted tome.

She said: 'Vogue September – I tell you what, I am thrilled to have been chosen by Vogue to be in their – it's an annual thing – Vogue 25, where they choose with 25 women,' she told the camera, as Madonna's classic song Vogue played.

'The other 24 are unbelievable, whereas I'm not sure how I've slipped in. However, if you want to look, I'm on page 195. First time in Vogue!'

Captioning her post, Carol, who recently showed off her impressive flexibility in the kitchen, added: 'BRITISH VOGUE @britishvogue So this is what it looks like… Being a bit daft here…'
