Kesha says writing 2011 hit Till the World Ends for 'the queen' Britney Spears marks 'one of the proudest moments' of her career

Kesha paid homage to Britney Spears while in concert Sunday evening, saying one of the highlights of her career was penning a hit for the pop starlet with the 2011 track Till the World Ends.

The singer-songwriter, 36, who was performing at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., told her fans that she was especially proud of penning the tune, which she subsequently performed, Pop Crave reported.

'In the name of freedom, there's something about my career some of y'all may know, some of y'all may not - and it's one of the proudest moments of my entire career is when I wrote a song for f***ing Britney Spears, the queen,' the musical artist, whose full name is Kesha Rose Sebert, told the crowd of the track.

The hit dance song was on Spears' 2011 album Femme Fatale, and Kesha and Nicki Minaj performed on a subsequent remix.

The Los Angeles native referenced Spears longtime conservatorship battle, which ended two years ago, during her show in the nation's capital.

'I wanted to bring you into how I write my music and, you know, I love that she's so f***ing free now too, oh my God!' Kesha said.

The We R Who We R performer has been on an East Coast stretch of her Only Love Tour in support of her latest album Gag Order, as she played in Newport, Kentucky Thursday and Mashantucket, Connecticut on Saturday.

She has upcoming shows in Philadelphia at The Met Philadelphia Tuesday; and in Boston at MGM Music Hall at Fenway Wednesday.

The Praying singer has found major success this year when it came to finally settling her yearslong defamation lawsuit with music producer Dr. Luke

A month before the case was set to go to trial, both parties agreed to a settlement this past June.

In a joint statement, Kesha conveyed her relief for the legal battle finally reaching a conclusion.

'I am looking forward to closing the door on this chapter of my life and beginning a new one. I wish nothing but peace to all parties involved,' she wrote.

Demonstrating her dedication to a new chapter, she renamed her upcoming tour from the Gag Order tour to the Only Love tour.

The Die Young hitmaker wrote on the social media platform October 11 for her 3 million followers 'I just got dumped for the first time… in my LIFE… Can you believe it.'

She added with a touch of dark humor that 'We’re all f****.'

Staying down to Earth about her dating woes, the Gag Order singer followed up with 'I mostly want a sugar daddy. Sounds fun.'

Throwing in a challenge for single men, Kesha concluded with 'DM me.'

Despite the pop singer's willingness to be candid with her followers about her breakup, she never disclosed the identity of her mystery man — now ex.

However, she was seen earlier this summer being affectionate with Riccardo Maddalosso, a Hollywood filmmaker and producer.

A month before she gushed about a mystery man during an interview with SELF in June, she was spotted kissing the Hollywood heavyweight.

They had also been spotted together on a red carpet prior to their May kiss, and enjoying a romantic Valentine's Day dinner at Santa Monica's hotspot Giorgio Baldi.

Despite being spotted publicly many times, she only made one reference to her 'boyfriend' in the SELF cover story.

'The only thing I’ll say about my boyfriend is: Sometimes, he has to have a face cream intervention and take them away from me,' she joked to the outlet.

One time she broke out in hives from a face cream, and her boyfriend panicked, asking the Backstabber songstress, 'What did you do?!'
