Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour: Additional tickets for pop superstar's Melbourne and Sydney shows to go on sale tomorrow - so here's how you can get yours

Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour is set to release additional tickets to eager Australian fans.

In a Thursday press release, Frontier Touring announced extra tickets would be released for all Swift's Australian tour dates, which will take place in Melbourne and Sydney next year.

The tickets will go on sale on Friday at 10am for Sydney and 4pm for Melbourne and can be purchased here.

Prices for the new allocation of tickets will start at $79.90 for 'partially-obstructed side view tickets'.

Fans seeking accessibility seating and who have previously submitted accessibility form requests with Ticketek do not need to resubmit their form again.

According to Frontier Touring, they 'will be contacted in order of the time of their original form submission'. 

The news comes as scalped tickets for the shows skyrocket in price.  

Seats for the February dates in Melbourne were going for as much as $1275 each online last month. 

Authorities have cancelled at least 54 illegal ticket listings, The Herald Sun reported. 

They have been appearing on a multitude of sites, including eBay, Gumtree and Stubhub.

In Victoria, selling tickets to major events for more than 10 per cent over the face value is illegal with fines as high as $576,930 for companies who breach the law.

Fines of up to $962 also apply to individuals who breach these conditions. 

Taylor announced a third Melbourne show at the MCG on February 18 next year and a fourth Sydney concert at Accor Stadium on February 26 as part of The Eras Tour.

She will become the first artist since Madonna to perform three consecutive concerts at the Melbourne Cricket Ground when she takes the stage in February next year, and the first ever to play a fourth straight show at Sydney's Accor Stadium.

The new gigs are in addition to the existing Melbourne concerts on February 16, 17 and 18 and Sydney shows on February 23, 24, 25 and 26.

Meanwhile, Swift's The Eras Tour concert film premiered in Australia on October 13. 

'Calling all Swifties! Secure your seats now for TAYLOR SWIFT THE ERAS TOUR,' reads one description on the Hoyts Cinemas website. 

'It's been a long time coming… Don't miss your chance to witness this once-in-a-lifetime concert film on the big screen!' it continues. 

The history-making concert was a phenomenon during the first leg of its US run.

The ticket release in the U.S, Canada and Mexico set a new record at ODEON's parent company AMC as it made USD $26 million in ticket-sales revenue.
