Guess who? Beloved Australian TV host looks unrecognisable in adorable childhood throwback snap

A beloved Australian presenter who shot to fame with his breakfast television career has shared an adorable childhood photograph with his fans.

The star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a sweet throwback picture of himself along with a long caption about self-worth.

He candidly opened up about how he struggled with his 'confidence' and 'self-worth' in a lengthy caption alongside the childhood snap.

'A sweet kid that had very little confidence, lacked self worth, had abusive self-talk, didn't think he had anything to offer and didn't think he was capable of becoming much,' the caption read.

He started his career as a news reporter in regional New South Wales before landing a weather presenting gig on Seven's relaunched Sunrise program in 2004.

So can you guess who the media personality is?

That's right - it's Grant Denyer!

The television star, 46, shared the throwback image as he reflected on how far 'little Grant' has come in a poignant caption.

'Today, big Grant is very proud of little Grant. For not giving up, or giving in to that chronic self-doubt and crippling lack of belief in himself. Good boy,' he gushed.

'It's hard to achieve good things when you don't love yourself. I thought self-love was a bad, selfish, yucky indulgent thing. I now know you can't truely love anyone or anything without loving yourself first.

'So be kind to little you. You were doing the best with what you had at the time,' the game show host continued.
