Wayne Rooney cut a casual figure as he was pictured outside a petrol station in Cheshire on Thursday. 

The former English footballer, 38, who recently left his role as a pundit for BBC's Euro 2024 coverage and headed back to England immediately, sported a grey tracksuit. 

The casual ensemble from Under Armour consisted of a grey hoody and a pair of slim-fit jogging bottoms to match. 

The professional footballer also sported a black cap as he filled up his £200,000 Audi at a local petrol station. 

He teamed a pair of chunky white trainers with the ensemble and sported a black Apple Watch.

Wayne has been working for the corporation in Germany during the group stages of the tournament. 

However, he confirmed to The Mirror on Wednesday that he would be heading home to England immediately. 

The England legend will reportedly begin work as Plymouth Argyle's new manager, with his squad set to return to training next week. 

Wayne was originally expected to spend the entire tournament working as a pundit for the BBC

However, his plans changed when he took on the Plymouth job, with his final game being Belgium's goalless draw with Ukraine on Wednesday. 

And now, the Manchester United legend admitted he is leaving his role with several disappointments. 

He told the Football Daily podcast: 'Yeah, it's been ok. Obviously, it's different and new to what I've been used to.'

'I've done TV in the past but [I've] spent quite a bit of time here, so yeah it's been a bit different but I've enjoyed it.'

Instead, for the win over Serbia, Gary Lineker hosted the coverage, with Cesc Fabregas, Rio Ferdinand, and Micah Richards as the pundits.

Then for the draw against Denmark, Gary was joined by Rio, Micah and Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
