Lizzy Musi dead at 33: Street Outlaws star succumbed to stage four breast cancer while surrounded by family
Drag racer Lizzy Musi, who shot to fame on the long-running reality TV franchise Street Outlaws, died aged 33 this Thursday after a battle with breast cancer.
She received her diagnosis in April 2023, and by the time doctors discovered the illness, it had progressed to stage four.
News of her death was broken by her father Pat Musi, who had himself been a drag racer before his daughter took up the practice.
'Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight,' Pat wrote on Facebook.
'Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle , At this time , the family would like to have time to process, grief and make arrangements in peace. we will give an update as soon as we have information to share.'

Lizzy grew up in North Carolina in the world of racing, owing to her father's career as a driver and engine builder.
She ultimately entered the profession herself, becoming the first woman ever to break the 200 mph barrier in eighth-mile doorslammer racing.
In 2018 she reached new heights of fame by joining the Street Outlaws franchise, featuring on its No Prep Kings series.
Lizzy established a place for herself as a recurring presence in the Street Outlaws world, appearing on Street Outlaws: Locals Only just last year.
She went public with her cancer diagnosis shortly after she received the news in April 2023, announcing that an 'unexpected life change' had just occurred.
'A few days ago I have been Diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has moved to my lymph nodes to my liver,' she wrote on Instagram.
She explained that she first felt the lump either in December 2022 or January 2023, in a video posted to her YouTube page.
Initially, she dismissed the growth as 'scar tissue' because she had recently undergone two revisions to a breast augmentation that 'didn't work out.'

In her last months, she was known to be dating pro racing driver Jeffrey Earnhardt, the grandson of Dale Earnhardt, a legend in the profession
However her lump became bigger, alarming her enough that she decided to pursue further testing that resulted in the eventual discovery that she had cancer.
Lizzy made the announcement alongside her then-fiancé, fellow Street Outlaws personality Kye Kelley, whom she split from later that year.
In June of 2023, she posted a selfie of her shaved head to her Instagram page, sharing that Kye had cut her hair off for her at the race track.
'I don’t think I would have had it any other way,' she wrote. 'Every time I brushed my hair it would just fall out in clumps. I had bald spots and excessive shedding it was just getting to the point where I was ready to take that step.'
Lizzy kept battling the cancer into her final weeks - her last Instagram post, dated May 31, indicated she was pursuing treatment at a private clinic in Germany.
In her final months, she was known to be dating pro racing driver Jeffrey Earnhardt, whose grandfather was NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt.
'I found a man when I least expected it, on top of going through the worst time in my life...,' she wrote in a glowing Facebook post this January.
'it didn't phase him and he has loved me unconditionally since..hair no hair...sick or not he has seen me at my worst...Getting numerous calls to tell how beautiful and strong I am, talking on FaceTime with my wig off and still compliments me... I am so so thankful for you and it needs to be said.'
