Spencer Matthews has said he takes on gruelling physical challenges in a bit to make his later brother proud.
Michael Matthews died at the age of 22 in 1999 while climbing Earth's highest mountain, after becoming the youngest Brit to ever reach the summit.
Spencer, who is currently training to run 30 marathons in 30 days, revealed how he find found comfort speaking to his brother while training.
Telling The Mirror: 'I guess deep down I'm quite keen to make my brother proud, 'I looked up to Michael enormously. I grew up appreciating his adventurous spirit, it kind of lived on through me and I feel quite close to him when I put myself in sporting situations.'
'In every ultra marathon I've ever done, when times have got tough and I'm on the verge of giving up, I think of him and even talk to him, It's a nice feeling for me.'

Spencer reenacted his older brother's steps on a mission to find his body for his Finding Michael film with Disney+ last year.
However Spencer admitted wife Vogue, 38, with whom he shares Theo, five, and Gigi, three, and two-year-old Otto, was worried for his safety.
'But Vogue understands my desire to push myself. If I said I was going to go off for 30 days every year she might be a bit peeved. If we succeed and raise a lot of money for great causes she'd obviously support that effort'.
As well as his month-long marathon Spencer previously undertook the Marathon des Sables in 2021 which saw him run 160 miles across the Sahara desert.
His latest challenge will see him aim to raise a whopping £1M for Global's Make Some Noise campaign, which helps supports small charities.
Made In Chelsea star previously shared a sweet snap of his son Otto bearing a striking resemblance his late brother Michael at the same age.
Taking to Instagram he posted the image of his youngest child next to a picture of Michael when he was around 12 months.
Next to the snap Spencer penned: 'Mike and Otto at similar ages…

'Apart from Otto's larger mouth (which he obviously got from Vogue) I'd say they're pretty similar!
'I already feel like our kids have some of his kind and adventurous nature.'
Michael's body has never been recovered and his family have never been able to fully understand what happened to him.
Finding Michael, which is is now streaming on Disney+, shows Spencer's emotional quest to find his late brother's body with adventurer Bear Grylls and record-breaking mountaineer Nirmal 'Nims' Purja.
During the film, Spencer, who was just 10 years old when his brother died, undertook a 'gut-wrenching' mission to climb Everest to find his brother's body, retracing the 'exact steps' his sibling took when he died.
Speaking on The One Show, Spencer said: 'When Michael went missing, by the time some people realised he was missing, it was too late. Nobody survives the night, really. A couple of cases maybe.'
Michael is said to have got in trouble after beginning to make his way down the south descent through the 'death zone' on May 13, 1999, after spending around 20 minutes at the summit.
He was also the brother of Pippa Middleton's husband, the racing driver turned hedge fund manager James Matthews, 47.
