Daisy May Cooper steps back from Never Mind The Buzzcocks after welcoming her third child as new A-list guest captains are revealed

Never Mind the Buzzcocks is set to return for a fourth series later this year on Sky Max - but Daisy May Cooper is taking a step back from being a team captain. 

The music-themed quiz will see actor and comedian Greg Davies return as host with team captains, Noel Fielding and regular panelist, Jamali Maddix also set to return.

However Daisy will be replaced by Sophie Willan on the show until the This Country actress returns for the Christmas Special

Joining the captains will b celebrities from the world of music and comedy, as each of the specials will have a theme, the Nineties, Noughties, Rock and Girl and Boy Bands.

The team captains will be joined by guests including Spice Girl Mel B for the Nineties episode.

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards will join for Girl & Boy Bands special while for the noughties episode cultural icon and frontwoman of The Gossip Beth Ditto will make an appearance.    

The Goddess of Grunge, Courtney Love, will be in the hot seat for the episode celebrating all things Rock. 

Previously the likes of Little Mix’s Jade Thirwall, Shaggy, Pete Doherty, Ellie Goulding, Suggs and Hannah Waddingham have made guest appearances on the Sky series. 

Of the new series, host Greg Davies said: 'I am genuinely thrilled to be returning to the mayhem of Buzzcocks but realistically who reads these press quotes and why? Watch the show please and in-between episodes get out into the air, talk to your partner, read to your children. Live, for god's sake live.'

The actress took to Instagram to say that she was very grateful to everyone for their 'beautiful messages'.

The comedy star shared a picture of herself cradling Benji in her arms while still in the hospital along with a comical update.

She wrote: 'Update: ignore the dinner plate sized areola... little benji is doing brilliantly. Thank you so much for all your beautiful messages xx.'

Daisy had revealed her third child had arrived  'a bit earlier than we expected' on social media on Thursday.

'What a bloody week...' she began her post alongside a video of mother and baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

'You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that i nearly had to phone the samaratins but my god you are perfect.'

'I cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond. you are all bloody superstars. I am so blessed. Welcome to the world little Benji, ya nutter Born 06/06/24.'

In her video she was seen being pushed by a nurse into the neonatal unit where she broke down in tears when she saw her little one.

She was seen crying 'hi bubba' as she reached into his incubator to touch him.

She then shared sweet snaps holding her newborn and giving skin to skin while in hospital.

Benji is Daisy's first child with her boyfriend Anthony Huggins - who was also seen cradling their little one after the birth.

Her celebrity pals were quick to offer their congratulations under the post, including from Holly Willoughby, Laura Whitmore and Sian Welby.
