She recently suffered a kitchen nightmare when she tried to make soup in a blender and it exploded all over the walls and all over her face.

But an undaunted Natalie Barr was back to her sharing her cooking tutorials on Wednesday.

Taking to her Instagram story, the 56-year-old posted a series of short clips that showed here attempting to make carrot soup.

'Hi, I'm back since the soup incident where I splashed hot soup all around the kitchen,' she said.

'We finally recovered and we're trying again because, apparently, there's a way to do it in a Vitamix that does not involve destroying your kitchen.

'So we're going to try again. I'm still doing carrot. I'm a glutton for punishment.'

Given her last public kitchen foray Natalie was understandably cautious about her concoction, but after stating she was going to 'follow the recipe pretty closely' questions about ingredient measurements had the popular host winging it.

'Two cups of stock. Of course I don't have two cups of stock. Who has two cups of stock?' Natalie said.

'I've got one, but I reckon water should be about the same. I mean it's waterish anyway.'

Natalie also called into question the recipes' addition of lemons saying '1/8 of a lemon. What? What's 1/8? Bloody ridiculous. What's an 1/8? Who does these recipes?'

She also improvised in the milk department, substituting the requisite soy milk for 'normal milk'.

With all the ingredients added, Natalie looked chuffed as the Vitamix did its thing, most importantly with the lid remaining firmly on.

The clips ended with the finished product- a creamy and inviting carrot soup.

Natalie was clearly chuffed with her efforts, telling viewers 'it actually tasted good (didn't need the other bit of lemon).

'And just because I'm an idiot, @vitamixaunz sent me their new edition blender which makes hot soup from cold stuff.'

Natalie recently took a break from cooking when she suffered an unsightly gaffe.

Whipping up a delicious carrot and ginger soup, the television presenter mashed up her cooked vegetables and put them into a mixer before everything went downhill.

Her eager grin was quickly wiped away when the media personality flicked the mixer on high and copped a face full of steaming hot puree.

Despite having her hand on the lid, the force of the mixer managed to shoot the soup straight up and out, leaving her kitchen walls slathered in mash.

Natalie shared yet another video of the aftermath, which saw the thick soup covering her eggs, pasta and other groceries in a small nook of her kitchen.

'I've recovered. I think the heat may have blown the lid off the Vitamix,' she said in follow up footage as she taste tested the bright orange liquid.

'I almost burned myself. Anyway I'm okay. Thanks for your concern,' she added, before revealing the soup had too much celery and needed more carrot.
