Jasmine Stefanovic flaunts her family's lavish free accommodation in Paris after her husband Karl was slammed for his commentating coverage amid Nine layoffs and wage disputes

Karl Stefanovic has ensured his wife Jasmine and their daughter Harper are living it up in style as they accompany him to the Paris Olympics.

Jasmine, 40, who is in France with her husband as he covers the Games for Channel Nine, has shared several photos to social media showcasing the lavish accommodation they appear to have scored in an apparent Airbnb sponsorship deal.

One photo showed Karl and Harper, four, having a rest on the chaise lounge and another featured a spacious bedroom, complete with a king size bed and a stunning city view.

Jasmine captioned the pictures 'A beautiful welcome to Paris by @airbnb. Thank you for hosting us during the Olympics.

'We've made such amazing family memories already. It truly feels like a home away from home #airbnbpartner.'

Meanwhile, Karl, 49, shared a clip to Instagram in which he is seen carrying a French baguette and a jar of Vegemite into the Airbnb apartment the family are spruiking.

He hammed it up for the camera as he cheekily applied the spread to bread while enjoying the apartment's balcony.

Karl then toasted the camera with his  baguette as he cut a slice for Harper.

He wrote in the caption: 'Late nights and early mornings for this proud Aussie in Paris.

'So grateful to be here covering the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It's such a joy to have my family stay here with me thanks to Airbnb. I can't wait to see our team do their thang. Go Australia.'

Daily Mail Australia understands that while Karl stayed in the accommodation provided by Nine, Jasmine and his family stayed in the Airbnb.

'Karl is staying at the same accommodation as Nine staff. He has a young family and is working difficult hours and they were offered an Airbnb as Jasmine has also partnered with them,' a Nine spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

Meanwhile, irate viewers have not been happy with Karl's Olympics reporting, with many Aussies taking to social media to slam Channel Nine's coverage of the Paris Olympics.

Thousands of Australians woke in the early hours of Saturday morning to take in the opening of the Paris Games - and had to wait hours for the Aussies to finally emerge because they are the 2032 host nation, with Olympic protocol dictating that they were the third-last nation to appear.

Viewers were not impressed with Nine's treatment of the opening ceremony - and Karl's commentary in particular - accusing him of talking over important and entertaining parts of the ceremony with many taking to social media to call for him to be quiet.

It comes as hundreds of jobs will be axed at Nine Entertainment, including roles in the high-profile TV news division, which resulted in a staff strike.

In June, Nine Entertainment chief executive Mike Sneesby announced the job cuts to staff as part of a $30 million cost-cutting plan for the business.

'From our nationwide team of almost 5000 people, around 200 jobs are expected to be affected across Nine, including some vacant and casual roles not being filled,'  Sneesby said.
