Former Miss Universe Olivia Molly Rogers has bravely stepped forward to discuss a family tragedy.

The media celebrity, 32, appeared on her Tell Me More podcast to disclose how she lost her 18-year-old cousin Jack Klemich to Meningococcal B in 2009.

'He was just the best,' an emotional Olivia said during the episode which dropped last month during Donate Life Week, which aims to raise awareness in support of organ donations.

She added: 'He had such an infectious sense of humour.'

Meningococcal B is a rare bacterial infection that impacts the brain and spinal cord.

During the podcast Olivia shared how her young had elected to become an organ donor.

Olivia's Uncle and Jack's dad, Oren Klemich appeared as a guest during the episode to tell his son's story.

'Grief can tear people apart but you've directed yours in a really positive way. Jack lives on through what you're doing,' she told him.

Oren explained during the chat that he learned that his boy had been hospitalised while he was overseas enjoying a 25th wedding anniversary vacation with his wife, Gill, Jack's mum.

After receiving news that Jack's condition was critical the couple rushed home to find their son was life support in an Adelaide hospital.

Before his condition worsened Jack had selflessly agreed to become an organ donor.

The traumatic experience helped turn Oren into a health campaigner.

He is currently on the board of DonateLife, which advocates for organ donations in order to save lives.

Oren said during the podcast that Jack's decision to become a donor helped to save four lives.

It comes after Olivia went public with her new man late last month when the pair attended the premiere of Beauty and the Beast in Melbourne.

Days later, some light was shed on the hunk's identity with the model having not yet named him online.

Instagram account Aussie Influencer Opinions posted to Instagram Stories earlier this month, claiming that the handsome fella is called Hugo.

'He's a consultant in Melbourne at a prestigious firm that only recruits the smartest cookies,' they claimed.

Olivia had her handsome beau on her arm as she walked the red carpet at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne during their debut.

The beauty queen could not wipe the smile off her face as she cuddled up to the handsome man.

She stole the show in a bright yellow mini dress with a plunging neckline, referencing the musical's lead character, Belle, who wears a similar frock.

Olivia's man looked dapper in a striped blazer over a dark shirt and black trousers which he paired with leather boots.

Hugo is said to have been quietly dating Olivia for several months following her split from model Morgan Waterhouse after seven months.
