Halsey flashes her taut tummy in new cheer-themed music video for Lucky after THAT beef with Britney Spears

Halsey has dropped a second video for her song Lucky, which was inspired by Britney Spears' 2000 song of the same name.

The 29-year-old songstress — who slammed 'mean fans' days ago — released the cheerleading-themed visualizer on Thursday, August 8 before wiping her Instagram shortly after.

Halsey, whose real name is Ashley, called the new iteration Lucky (All or Nothing), in a nod to the 2006 sequel of the teen cheer movie Bring It On.

In the two-minute clip she performed with a squad, flashing her toned tummy in a pink and white uniform.

She initially shared a video for the song on Friday, July 26, paying homage to Spears, 42, as she covered her body in crystals à la the singer's 2003 video Toxic.

In the latest Lucky video Halsey and her teammates, including men who wore white shirts and black pants, carried out choreographed stunts.

The pop star's hair was dyed in a rich hot pink pigment and she wore the long lock in a half-up, half-down style with spiral curls.

Her makeup complemented the look as she rocked pink shadow on her eyelids.

She and her crew performed in a high school gym, with the women wearing matching white bows in their hair.

In a post shared on X, the New Jersey-born star shared the YouTube link for the music video without adding a caption.

Although Halsey previously said she got Britney's 'blessing' for the reference, Britney seemingly posted a furious social media message in response to the new song once it was released.

Taking to the app formerly known as Twitter, a tweet from Spears' account read: 'For obvious reasons I'm very upset about the Halsey video. I feel harassed, violated, and bullied.

'I didn't know an artist like her and someone I looked up to and admired would illustrate me in such an ignorant way by tailoring me as a superficial pop star with no heart or concern at all.'

The post, purported to have been typed by Britney, continued: 'I'm speaking with my lawyers today to see what can be done on this matter.'

It was added, 'It feels illegal and downright cruel.'

Later, a new message appeared on the Slave 4 U singer's social media.

'Fake news !!! That was not me on my phone !!! I love Halsey and that's why I deleted it !!!' Britney said online.

Halsey then re-shared the message and added, 'and I love Britney!!!! I always have and always will.

'You were the first person who ever made me realize what it means to feel inspired. And you continue to inspire me every day.'

In early June Halsey confirmed that she has both lupus and a 'rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.'

The Him And I singer had previously taken to Instagram to tell fans of her struggle with serious health issues, but did not specify which conditions they were.

In addition to announcing her diagnosis, Halsey thanked fans for their outpouring of support.

She also included an optimistic update, noting that her conditions are 'managed or in remission.'
