'Hot Purple Wiggle' John Pearce and his pregnant wife Jessie Adamo stole the show before the curtains went up for Sydney's star-studded red carpet premiere of Hamilton on Thursday evening.

The former Justice Crew member, 33, and his wife Jessie refreshed the classic black-tie dress code as the performer's wife took the naked dress trend straight off the runway and made it her own.

Jessie, who recently celebrated the 'half way' milestone of her pregnancy, opted for Old Hollywood glamour in a long-sleeved, floor-length black gown that featured a high neck.

The luxury fashion buyer took a leaf out of Rihanna's maternity-style playbook and opted for a ruched mesh fabric with cut-outs that showed off her growing bump.

She paired it with black stilettos featuring diamante detailing and a face of 'second skin' makeup and a nude lip that highlighted her bright features.

'You're glowing mama,' one fan commented on the clip shared to Instagram after the award-winning musical.

John complemented his wife in a black-and-white three-piece suit.

The Wiggles star took the opportunity to glam up in something more classic than his purple skivvy, accessorising with a black bow tie and patent leather loafers.

Jessie beamed at the cameras as her doting husband stroked their baby bump, miming an awed expression for a short video shared to Instagram.

John and Jessie held their own as red carpet hot potatoes amongst a bevy of stars in attendance.

Fellow Wiggles stars Tsehay Hawkins, Lucia Field and Simon Pryce dazzled at the opening night, while other notable guests included The Good Place star D'Arcy Carden, Larry Emdur and his wife Sylvie, Leigh Sales, Jessica Rowe and her daughter Giselle Overton, and Real Housewife of Sydney Sally Obermeder.

John and Jessie started dating in 2012, just two years after his dance-pop group Justice Crew shot to fame following their Australia's Got Talent win.

Sharing the spotlight his entire life, John first became famous in 2010 when he and his twin brother Lenny won season four of Australia's Got Talent as part of Justice Crew, a nine-member dance troupe.

Then, as a six-piece pop group, Justice Crew earned eight ARIA Music Award nominations and two number-one singles with 'Boom Boom' in 2012 and 'Que Sera' in 2014.

John excitedly revealed his baby news at the end of June, revealing the pair are expecting a baby boy.

They tied the knot in a private ceremony in October 2019, with their fifth anniversary together coming up at the end of this year.

Despite being happily married to his 'soul mate', mum's across Australia often find themselves starstruck by the performer's handsome features and hunky photos.

Nevertheless, John told Daily Mail Australia he'll only ever have eyes for Jessie, saying: 'She's the best. She's been there since the early Justice Crew days.'

'[Jessie has] been through all of that extra attention from the young girls, and travelling, and being on TV, and all the "Hot Wiggle" stuff coming out,' he added.

'She finds the humour with it... She's the best person to be with and I'm very grateful to have her as my wife.'
