Casey Donovan thrills audiences in an edgy latex nun habit as she takes the stage for Sister Act musical in Sydney

Casey Donovan made sure all eyes were on her as she took the stage for the Sister Act musical in Sydney on Friday.

The 36-year-old, who landed the lead role in the production, opted for a latex nun habit as she performed numbers from the popular musical.

She looked glamourous with a full face of makeup with a plum lipstick and wore her nails extra long.

Casey wore her hair in tight curls and looked to be having an absolute ball as she commanded the stage with her co-stars.

The singer finished the look with a pair of towering high heels in a nude tone.

The former Australian Idol winner also donned more traditional nun garb including a head covering and a cross around her neck.

She added a pair of leather boots and belted out hits from the musical with ease and aplomb.

The singer is playing the part made famous by none other than Whoopi Goldberg in the 1992 film, as she steps into the dancing shoes of Sister Deloris Van Cartier.

'I grew up watching the movies, it was the movie of my childhood.'

Sister Act opened at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney this August and will hit the Regent Theatre Melbourne in November.
