Heavily pregnant Sarah's Day has been slammed online for not exercising sun safety after she revealed she did not use sunscreen while on holiday in Hawaii, resulting in burns.

The Australian influencer, 31, posted footage to Instagram in which she revealed she got unexpectedly sunburned on the first day of her luxury Hawaiian getaway.

'What is wrong with me? A lot of people have said that when you're pregnant you're more susceptible to sunburn but no, I'm just an idiot,' Sarah began.

'I didn't even have sunscreen on. Pro tip, if you do happen to get burnt, lather yourself in this aftersun gel. It will rehydrate your skin and sooth any kind of burning.'

The blonde, who was born Sarah Stevenson, then told her followers they could use the code she provided to receive a discount when purchasing the skincare product.

Her clip ruffled the feathers of many of her followers, who quickly took to the comment section to call her out for her sun safety blunder.

'Crazy how someone from Australia is SO bad at remembering to put on sunscreen,' one person added, to which Sarah replied: 'I second this statement.'

Meanwhile, Outspoken hosts Amy, Kate and Sophie Taeuber talked about the incident on their podcast, and discussed Sarah's motives for sharing the video.

'She pointed out she wasn't proud of this, that she was quite embarrassed about it,' they began.

'But despite being ashamed of the burn, she used it as an opportunity to slip in what she thought was an authentic ad.'

'Sarah has been working with [this] skincare brand... for years and uploaded the video for their aftersun gel. Nowhere in this did she include the word "ad" or "paid partnership". So disappointing.
