Today Show viewers point out one big problem with Nine's Olympic logo - but did you spot it?

Eagle-eyed Today Show viewers have pointed out a big problem with Channel Nine's Olympic Logo.

Armchair sleuths have taken to the MediaSpy forums to point out that the network is still running the Olympic Rings logo above the time on the Today show.

Given that the 2024 Paris Olympics ended on Sunday, some commenters suggested that the network was a bit behind the times and should instead be running the logo of the Paralympics - the Agitos.

The 2024 Paralympics gets underway in Paris on 28 August and runs until 2 September.

Posting a series of Today Show screenshots to the forum, one commenter pointed out the 'error', saying they've noticed the 'Olympic rings are occasionally still animated with the Today logo.'

Replying to the discovery another chimed in, arguing that Nine should be using the ensuing two weeks to promote the Paralympics.

'Would be nice to put a Paralympics logo in its replacement,' they wrote.

Another chimed in: 'Shouldn't it be replaced with the Paralympic symbol that is the Agitos for the next 2.5 weeks'.

The Paralympic logo, also known as the Agitos consists of three elements in red, blue and green - the three colours most widely represented in national flags around the world.

The three elements of the Agitos, meaning 'I Move'  in Latin, encircle a central point and symbolise motion and emphasises the Paralympic Movement's mission to bring athletes together from across the globe.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.

The latest 'discovery' comes after an eagle-eyed TikTok user recently claimed the network had been using an incorrect version of the famed Olympic rings logo.

Marketing professional Kiandra Trickett, who goes by The Original Kiki on social media, revealed the Nine network appears to be using an unauthorised, altered version of the Olympic rings.

The image appears on the welcome screen of the 9Now app that can be accessed on mobile devices, computers and smart televisions.

'Did I just miss an Olympic ring re-brand?' she posted on TikTok.

She then showed images of the different iterations of the logo that have been used over the years.

The same design has been used since 1914, except for a period between 1986 and 2010 which included white spaces at the points where each circle linked with another.

That design was officially dropped in 2010 with the original design restored.

Trickett then showed the 9Now version, which shows different linking between the rings from what is set out in the official IOC guidelines.

While each ring interlaces behind and in front each neighbouring ring in those guidelines, the 9Now version has each ring fully layered either in front or behind the neighbouring ring, without the interlaced effect.

The rings themselves are also thinner than the official IOC design.

'What is this? What is that?' Trickett said, pointing out the differences. 'I think your designer has just created five circles that aren't the logo.

'I've been looking at that the past two days and been like, what is wrong with this?

'Now I have actually seen it up close, yeah. I don't know if it's a rights thing but I would feel like you can't do that.'
