Married At First Sight and former adult star Hayley Vernon has issued a stern clapback at critics who accused her of being hypocritical in a social media post.

The ex-reality star, 36, had shared a post to Instagram of Dubai influencer Vicenzo Darian putting on a racy display with his partner in a swimming pool and captioned it with some pointed words.

'I just saw this post on a story about goals. What's the goal here? To have people hyper-sexualising your partner on both sides,' Hayley questioned.

'Is goals putting looks and image over depth, character and substance? When you write "goals" and your goal is to look like this?

'Welcome to 2024 where a look is a goal,' the former adult content creator added.

Hayley later shared a video revealing she had been inundated with private messages calling her a hypocrite, as she explained she had put her adult star past behind her.

'I lived in such a hyper-sexualised world for so long. It's funny once your eyes are open and your heart starts to get healed,' she said.

'Why do you want to wear stuff that is exposing the most intimate aspects of yourself? This world made me feel insecure about my true characteristics.

'I have grown in my self-respect and that is enough. I just can't put myself in those positions again.'

Hayley, who has spent the past four years working as an adult star and high-class escort, officially quit the industry in April.

'It just feels like a big breath out for me,' the bodybuilder said in an Instagram story.

'I will not be filming any more videos for [OnlyFans]. I think I have about nine, ten releases left. I will not be engaging or solicitating [sic] myself anymore, or giving any of my being to anyone further than what I have done,' she continued.

Hayley admitted that being an adult entertainer was always 'so far removed' from her real identity, adding that the industry had brought 'so much negativity' into her life over the years.

'I was suffering from severe anxiety, I wasn't certain of who I was because I was trying to be someone different. I've just made the decision that it does not serve myself. It's soul destroying, I'm just going to say it,' she lamented.

'And I know that a lot of people are going to be like, 'You're a hypocrite'... But I was merely supposed to pass through this stage of my life. I was never supposed to sit in it,' she added.

Hayley, who earned a whopping AUD$90,000 within the first month of joining the subscription website OnlyFans, explained that she only entered the industry out of desperation.
