A comedian has revealed the one celebrity who hated being the butt of the joke during their appearance on Channel Ten's Have You Been Paying Attention?

Sam Pang, who is hosting the 2024 Logie Awards this weekend, explained that some of the panellist's jokes didn't sit well with one particular star a few years ago.

The 50-year-old claimed famed fashion designer Alex Perry does not have a sense of humour when he was brutally mocked during his show appearance.

Alex, 61, appeared on the high-rating comedy quiz back in 2015 when Sam was starring alongside co-panellist Kate Langbroek.

Perry, who is frequently photographed wearing his sunglasses on the top of his shaved head, appeared on Have You Been Paying Attention? as a 'guest quizmaster' while he was a judge on Australia's Top Model.

'Alex Perry came on the show... and to me that was memorable because I don’t think he had a really good time,' Sam admitted in an interview with News.com.au on Friday.

Sam said things with Perry went pear-shaped after Kate made a crack about the designer's trademark 'look'.

'I think Kate Langbroek, not to throw her under the bus because it was hilarious, but I think she may have got him off-side early when she said, ''Hey, Alex, if you’re looking for your glasses, they’re on top of your head''.'

'That was her opening gambit! Yeah, I don’t know if he had a good time,' he said.

Have You Been Paying Attention? format centres on a panel of comedians being tested on their knowledge of the news of the week.

Sam has been a regular on the hit show since it debuted in 2012. Past guest quiz masters have included hitmakers Hanson and Gold Logie nominee Robert Irwin.

It comes after fans credited Sam's hosting of the Logies last years as the secret for the show's success.

Sam's blistering series of gags at the expense of television's biggest stars and biggest stars was a major highlight.

The courageous host took a aim at everything from gross reality TV to the scandalous private lives of celebrities.

Sam's opening monologue included a dig at Married at First Sight, saying the controversial reality show is 'a clear sign we'll not make it a species'.

But he saved a particularly sharp crack for Karl Stefanovic and his infamous Noosa brawl involving cricket great Michael Clarke.

'Karl Stefanovic said yes, as long as the show was held in a park in Noosa,' Sam quipped after joking that the television host was offered a chance to host the Logies.

Others were quick to agree, with one viewer tweeting: 'Can we have Sam Pang host every single TV Week Logies Awards from now on?'

'Never ever watch the Logies,' tweeted another, before adding: 'But Sam Pang is crushing it and Channel Seven are unable to do anything about it. Go Sam Pang.'

Another viewer agreed: 'The only reason I'm watching the Logies is Sam Pang. Honestly the funniest man on Australian television right now.'
