No wonder he's so smitten! Gerard Butler gives girlfriend Morgan Brown a kiss as she flaunts her perfect bikini body on the beach

He's been a changed man since meeting her over a year ago - and it's clear to see why Gerard Butler is so smitten with girlfriend Morgan Brown.

The pretty brunette, 39, rocked a black bikini during a day at the beach and the Scottish actor, 45, couldn't keep his hands off her.

The 300 star never strayed far from his main squeeze as they hung out with friends in Malibu and wasn't embarrassed to share a sexy smooch on the sand with the interior designer.

Brown, who it's believed started dating Butler in May 2014, showed off her enviably pert derriere in the tiny black bikini bottoms that had ties at the sides.

The bikini top covered up some of her cleavage but her fantastically toned midriff was on full display and the straps around the back emphasized her model figure.

The beach babe happily waded into the surf with the actor by her side to cool off as the Los Angeles area basked in record heat Saturday.

Butler, 45, enjoyed a reputation as a bit of a ladies man before he started dating Brown.

He's been linked in the past with such Hollywood beauties as Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston and supermodel Naomi Campbell.

But it seems as if he may have met his match this time.

The Olympus Has Fallen star looked a little less toned than his gorgeous galpal, revealing a bit of a tummy as he enjoyed his day at the beach wearing swimming trunks.

The normally ripped actor has some breathing space between projects, having wrapped the sequel London Has Fallen, due out in January, and two other movies set for release next year.

It looked as though he might also have had to scale back his workout regime due to a back injury.

Butler sported three large flesh-covered bandages across the left side of his upper torso. 

Later, as the pair donned a little bit more clothing and went for a stroll, the actor couldn't resist a cheeky feel of his girlfriend's bottom.

He pulled on a blue t-shirt that he wore with his trunks and some flip-flops while Brown went barefoot wearing a very short floral sundress over her bikini. 

It certainly appears that Brown fits the bill when it comes to her beau's idea of the perfect partner.

'I love a woman who has a good sense of her own style....when, no matter how simple it is, you can just tell she wears it well,' he revealed in an interview with InStyle last winter.

'The woman I will fall in love with.....is also somebody who can completely kick it in a pair of sandals and jeans and t-shirt.'

When it comes to his career, Butler is starting to focus on working behind the camera as well as in front of hit.

He will head to Toronto, Canada, in a couple of weeks to start filming his new movie The Headhunter's Calling, which he'll produce as well as star in, according toVariety.

The trade also reported that he'll be joined in the film by Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina.
