A court hearing to decide whether or not Kesha can break her contract with Sony was postponed for a further three weeks on Monday.

The 28-year-old was due in a New York court on Tuesday, but the inclement weather forced the date back to February 19.

With her career in the balance, the Tik Tok hitmaker spent the hours leading up to it thanking fans for their continued support, and confessing how nervous she was.

One fan posted a melancholy video message from the singer on YouTube, as she laments the fact she cannot record any new material.

'Good morning everybody. I love you guys, more than you will ever know. It's like mind-blowing,' she said.

'I can’t put out new music, but I can sing a little something of someone else’s songs or something that exists. So what shall I sing?' she asks, before launching into an emotional rendition of Amazing Grace.

But just hours before the hearing was due to take place, Kesha informed her supporters it had been moved due to the storm, venting her frustration and sorrow for all the people who had made the effort and prepared to support her.
