Rematch of the day? Gary Lineker and his ex-wife Danielle Bux spark rumours of a rekindled romance as they look very cosy on a stroll around London
They got divorced in January, but Gary Lineker and his ex-wife Danielle Bux looked extremely close as they stepped out together for a stroll in London.
The pair held hands as the Match of the Day presenter wrapped his arm protectively round his former wife of six years on their walk last week - prompting speculation they had rekindled their romance.
Gary, 55, and Danielle, 37, ended their marriage at the beginning of this year after secretly separating 12 months earlier, reportedly because the former England captain didn't want anymore children.

Following an amicable divorce, the duo promised to remain friends but they looked closer than pals in upmarket Notting Hill as Lineker fed Danielle cake at a bakery.
An onlooker told the Mirror: 'They're famously on good terms – but this looked like a couple enjoying an afternoon out together.
'Gary had his arm around Danielle and they even held hands. It's astounding to think they're recently divorced. She even fed him a cake while he carried the shopping bags. They're obviously incredibly close.'

The couple, believed to be worth around £20million, spent just £400 on their divorce, filling out the online forms together to get a Decree Nisi which was granted in January this year.

Danielle is thought to be making a life for herself in LA since the break-up and is pursuing acting roles, with Gary said to be keen to support his ex in her career.
The stunning star has been building up her career in recent years, moving from modelling to acting with appearances in stage productions including Calendar Girls and Responsible Other.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph recently, Gary spoke openly about the couple's shock break-up, explaining that it was incredibly tough to go through a divorce in the public eye.
'Obviously when you know you are going through something personal that you know is going to become public, it makes it quite difficult, and it becomes a weight on your shoulders,' he told the newspaper.

He stressed that things between him and his former wife are going very well following the divorce.
'We're fine, we get on brilliantly. We have a lovely relationship, and that's how we are. And that's genuine,' he explained.
It is believed that Danielle wanted to start a family but Gary, who already has four children, feels he is too old to become a father to another baby.
Gary also has sons George, Harry, Tobias and Angus with his ex-wife Michelle Cockayne, from whom he split in 2006 after a 20-year marriage.
