Madonna could find herself in trouble with UK authorities if she brings with her the illegal sixteen inch BLADE concealed within her walking cane
- The maximum penalty for an adult carrying a knife in the UK is 4 years in prison and an unlimited fine
- It is also illegal to bring banned knives, including disguised knives and sword-sticks (a hollow walking stick or cane containing a blade) into the UK
Madonna could find herself in trouble with the authorities when she comes to the UK if she brings her curved-handled walking cane with her.
The musical icon, 61, took to Instagram on Sunday to post a video of herself unveiling a sword concealed within the antique style walking cane, while in a Lisbon bar.
The video showed Madonna, who has been using a stick to help her walk around since she hurt herself on tour, revealing the hidden sixteen inch blade while jokingly threatening a local.

The singer, who cancelled her first appearance in London on Monday as a result of a dance injury, was sitting down and demanding wine in the video.
In a jokingly menacing tone she said: 'We want the finest wine money can buy. Hey watch out!
'If you don't give me good wine, this is what is going to happen...'
She then unscrewed the top of her cane to reveal the enormous blade, which she pulled out from the casing, adding: 'Give me red wine!'

There is nothing to suggest that Madonna will bring the offensive weapon to the UK as part of her Madame X guise, but if she does so she could face a run in with the police.
MailOnline has contacted Madonna's representatives for comment.
As of 1988, it is, of course, classified as a concealed weapon, and therefore illegal to carry in public. Just carrying a knife can mean a four year prison sentence, even if it is not used.
In the UK, it's illegal carry a knife in public without good reason, unless it has a folding blade with a cutting edge 3 inches long or less.

It's also explicitly illegal to bring banned knives, including disguised knives and sword-sticks - a hollow walking stick or cane containing a blade - into the UK.
Swords, including samurai swords (a curved blade over 50cm) are also banned, but there are some exceptions, such as antiques and swords made to traditional methods before 1954.

It's not the first time that Madonna has caused controversy with offensive weapons during a tour.
In 2012 the singer flouted a ban on brandishing guns on stage in Scotland, just 36 hours after the Denver cinema massacre.
Police had warned the star not to perform with her pistols and Ak47 assault rifle but the Queen of Pop chose to ignore them.
'Madonna and her dancers using replica guns was always in bad taste but given what happened in Colorado it is even worse.

Another: The singer strolled out with a black cane at the 2014 Grammy Awards
She should know better,' a spokesman for Mothers Against Guns told Scotland's Daily Record at the time.
'Madonna would rather cancel her show than censor her art,' a member of her tour team told the Huffington Post in response.
'Her entire career, she has fought against people telling her what she can and cannot do. She's not about to start listening to them now.'
