Robert de Niro may have beaten Madonna's record for most wardrobe changes undergone in a single movie.
The 76-year-old thespian played the lead character in Martin Scorsese's new Netflix movie The Irishman, which clocks in at nearly three and a half hours.
Now the Guinness Book Of World Records tell the Times Of London they are checking if Robert wore more outfits in The Irishman than Madonna did in Evita.

The Times Of London looked into the matter and estimate that Robert substantially changed his clothes 101 times over the course of The Irishman.
Meanwhile, in the 1996 adaptation of the 1979 Broadway musical Evita, Madonna changed costumes a whopping 85 times.
Robert stars as the title character of The Irishman, hitman Frank Sheeran, who developed a close friendship with Al Pacino's Jimmy Hoffa.
He was dressed by three-time Oscar-winning costume designer Sandy Powell, whose assistant Christopher Peterson got bumped up to co-designer.

Sandy has earned a grand total of 15 Academy Award nominations, including a currently pending one with Christopher for The Irishman.
The costumes cover a dizzying time span, from Frank's time in Europe as a soldier in World War II to his death at a Pennsylvania nursing home in 2003.
'You basically have to sort of divide your brain up into those five different decades, and approach it as if there are three or four films in one,' Sandy told Esquire UK.
'You’re filming more than one decade in one day, and that’s when you'd have to really know what you were doing.'

The elderly leading actors were controversially aged down with CGI and Sandy shared that the costumes also played a part in the process.
'The suits of those earlier periods does sort of help, it does sort of help hide body shape. But the most challenging thing was getting the guys to remember to walk and stand like younger people,' said Sandy.
'It wasn’t until recent years that jeans and a sports jacket and a casual shirt became OK to wear. It was a bit gauche for a man to do that back then; you wanted to be a man of respect, and you wanted to be well-turned out.'

Penny, a West End alum who later worked on the first two Pirates Of The Caribbean movies, got to get a close peek at Eva Peron's actual clothes to replicate them.
In the book The Making Of Evita, director Alan Parker wrote: 'Madonna's wardrobe alone consisted of 85 changes, 39 hats, 45 pairs of shoes and 56 pairs of earrings. Almost all of these were handmade in London.'
