Madonna, 61, looks weary as she holds onto her cane while leaving Le Grand Rex in Paris after energetic Madame X show

She is in the midst of her 12-night Paris residency, with her Madame X tour culminating in the French Capital on March 11.

And Madonna, who is still recovering from a nasty knee injury, held onto her trusty cane as she left Le Grand Rex in Paris on Thursday after another energetic show.

The singer, 61, looked weary as she emerged from the arena in an all-black ensemble with her tour logo emblazoned across the chest of her hoodie.

Madonna, who has eight tour dates to complete, bundled up in a padded coat which she teamed with opaque tights and patent boots.

The night prior, Madonna emerged from the arena in a Versace robe and held onto her burly security guard for support as she headed down the steps.

The Queen of pop took to Instagram on Friday to share a slew of snaps and clips from this week's shows.

Clad in ruched black hotpants, fishnet tights, a bustier and an eye mask, Madonna looked past her injury to entertain the crowd with a medley of her best known hits.

Perhaps in reference to still taking to the stage despite being in pain,  Madonna captioned the snap: 'There's nothing you can do to me that hasn’t been done...I Will Rise'.

Madonna's tour has already been fraught with drama after already being forced to cancel 14 shows, with the most recent being her first performance in Paris last Thursday.

Last month, Madonna described being 'in tears from the pain of my injuries'. She said: 'I consider myself a warrior. I never quit, I never give in, I never give up! However, this time I have to listen to my body and accept my pain is a warning.'

And fans claimed Saturday's show had been heavily delayed, with some posting the singer did not take to the stage until midnight, when she was due to perform three and a half hours earlier.

According to French site RTL, a technician claimed the the performance was delayed to 'unforeseen technical problems,' caused by certain decorations for the tour not being compatible with the concert's venue.

The publication also reported the show eventually ended at 2:15am on Sunday morning, leaving many of the 2,800 fans in attendance struggling to travel home.

Many took to Twitter to share their outrage following the delay, which many claimed ranged from 2.5 hours to 4 hours.

One tweeted: 'How could you be more disrespectful to your fans? Several shows cancelled without any reasons (we still had to pay for our plane tickets to go to Paris, thank you very much) and now you start your show 4 hours late... Your behaviour is a shame! You shouldn't sing anymore...'

Another penned: 'Does @Madonna know that her fans have a life, are parents who have their children babysat to come and see her? People who work the next day. This delay is completely disrespectful. #Madonna #Paris #GrandRex.'
