She became internationally known when she became the first Russian model to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue in 2011.

And Irina Shayk cut a casual but stylish figure as she took her daughter Lea de Seine, three, for a stroll around New York on Monday.

The model, 35, bundled up in a cream shearling jacket, teaming her cosy outerwear with a pair of pale blue jeans.

Irina added a hooded white jumper to her laidback look, accessorising further with sand coloured lace-up boots, tan leather gloves and a matching handbag.

The beauty covered most of her face with a nude face mask during the outing, while she shielded her eyes with a pair of dark shades.

Irina shares her daughter with her ex Bradley Cooper, 46, who she dated from 2015 to 2019. 

And the former couple are making sure that their daughter can speak her mother's native language as it's been reported they've been taking their daughter Lea to Russian lessons once a week.

Page Six reports that the child's language lessons are reportedly part of Bradley and Irina's custody agreement, which they worked out after their separation in 2019.

The specialist school, located in the Financial District promises 'complete immersion into the Russian language and culture from an early age by creating fun learning experiences' to 'anyone who is interested in preserving their heritage [or] adding a new cultural experience.'

Shayk grew up in the small southwestern town of Yemanzhelinsk in the USSR - now Western Russia. And she moved to the states in 2007 when her modeling career took off.

The duo's co-parenting plan includes that both of them have to reside in New York City; Cooper's former residence was in Los Angeles.

The two have also agreed to split legal and physical custody of their daughter 50/50, although they both understand that their busy work schedules may not mean that one of them will have exactly as much time as the other.

According to TMZ, Shayk and Cooper do not have a formal written agreement, as they remain on good terms and support each other as individuals. 

Irina previously spoke to Elle magazine about how she and Bradley operate as parents, setting the record straight on their family life.

She said: 'I never understood the term co-parenting. When I'm with my daughter, I'm 100 percent a mother, and when she's with her dad, he's 100 percent her dad. Co-parenting is parenting.

Irina also explained why she has always stayed quiet about their bond: 'My past relationship, it's something that belongs to me, and it's private. 

'It's just a piece of my inner self that I don't want to give away.'

The amicable exes have each been spotted out with with Lea in recent weeks, helping each other out as they continue working on their respective projects.
