Japanese wrestling superstar Naomichi Marufuji is coming to the UK for a tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH, Japan's top wrestling company.

It marks the company's first time back in the UK after more than 10 years, and they'll be here for three days in September 2024.

Supported by top UK company PROGRESS Wrestling, the tour kicks off in Edinburgh on Friday September 6, then heads to Manchester the next day, and finishes up at the famous Electric Ballroom in London on September 8.

Many of NOAH's biggest stars will be there, including Naomichi Marufuji, who'll be wrestling on all the dates. More wrestlers will be announced soon, and the full NOAH team will be in the UK, along with some of PROGRESS's best talent.

Marufuji is a former four-time GHC Heavyweight Champion, and an eight time GHC Tag Team Cahmpion. He was also named as being part of the Tag Team of the Year alongside ex-WWE star Kenta in 2003 and 2004. The pair also had matches of the year in 2006 and 2006, as presented to them by Nikkan Sports.

Narihiro Takeda, the boss of NOAH, said he's really proud of the tour. He said: "We are delighted to be visiting the U.K. in September for our largest UK tour ever. We have very many fans here who we know are very excited to see Marafuji and many of our other top stars. We wish to thank PROGRESS for all their help in our partnership with them."

Martyn Best, who co-owns PROGRESS, said: "We have been honoured to be working with NOAH since last year, and having seen Yoichi and Ozawa on our recent shows we are sure all wrestling fans will be very excited to have the opportunity to see three full NOAH shows in September."
