A WWE icon who was selected as the front cover of the historic 2K Games series hopes to tag team with Prince Harry.

Former Smackdown World Champion Bianca Belair was selected alongside fellow in-ring competitors Rhea Ripley and Cody Rhodes to head up the WWE 2K24 cover, revealed earlier this week.

Bianca, 34, signed with the developmental NXT brand back in 2016 and has spoken to the Daily Star on how her front cover appearance and how she would like to tag team with the Duke of Sussex.

Harry's unlikely entry into the RAW and Smackdown roster is not the only time the Sussex duo has been linked with the flagship wrestling company, with a hilarious mix-up last year leading some to believe Meghan Markle was set to join the WWE.

One royal fan wrote at the time of WME and Meghan's deal: "You'd be correct in thinking I’d misread this and thought the most mental thing to ever happen had happened."

Should the Duke of Sussex make the wild career move, it seems he has a sparring partner in Bianca Belair, who told the Daily Star she would "choose Prince Harry". He could make use of the previously reported finishing move, "The Royal Elbow", which one user joked of when the WME and Meghan gaffe first began.

Brushing up with in-ring legends has its benefits too, with the two-time Women's Champion saying the cover gives her the chance to cement an "amazing legacy" with the company which also featured the likes of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena on its cover.

She said: "I think this is cementing the fact that I'm gonna have an amazing legacy here in WWE. I've been able to break a lot of barriers and make history, but just to have my name in in the same conversations as them? It says a lot.

"My name is in the same conversations as them, it's going to be in the history books with them. You can become history, I'm becoming history. I've been able to break a lot of barriers and do a lot of unprecedented things."

Bianca featured alongside current Women's Champion Rhea Ripley on the Deluxe Edition cover of WWE 2K24, a spot she says is "surreal".

"I just think that it is so special," she said of the cover. "I feel like we're both we're two females at the forefront of a new generation of women's wrestling that's coming through. It's really cool that I get to be one of the faces to represent that. This is history."

Her appearance on the cover, which was released alongside a Standard Edition with ex-AEW star Cody Rhodes and a legend-stacked Wrestlemania Deluxe version, marked a historic moment for the games series.

WWE's Head of Creative and two-time Hall of Famer Triple H announced to the trio they had "earned the honour" of being front and centre of the new video game instalment earlier this week.
