Britain's most tattooed woman probably has a higher pain tolerance than many.

Becky Holt has spent countless hours in tattooists' chairs, where she has covered her body in intricate inkings. The designs span from the David Bowie lyrics on her face to the colourful artwork on her feet.

But even though she's got plenty of experience under the needle, there are some sessions that can still be difficult to get through.

On Instagram this week, Becky revealed her new tattoo that was extremely excruciating to get through. It's a pretty pattern on her palm and will require another layer of ink to be fully complete.

The 34-year-old, from Cheshire, told her 157,000 followers: "Brutal session. Four hours on this hit. Seven in total so far. One more pass then it's done. The most painful of all my tattoos but so worth it."

Even though the alternative model struggled through her appointment, people thought the ink was well worth the pain. In fact, 1,200 of them liked pictures of the hand tatt on Instagram.

One commenter gushed: "It might be brutal but WOW! what a stunning tattooed palm, I am endlessly jealous." And another said: "Wow, looks amazing!"

A third wrote: "Omg. Looks amazing . I wanted to do my palms for a long time but I’m a p*ssy. I’ll probably tap out after 10 mins." And another added: "Youch!!! Fair play, that is some undertaking."

Even though everyone was in agreement that the inking looks fabulous, they fear the ink will be pretty hard to maintain. Palm tattoos often need retouching every few years as the skin has a fast regrowth pattern.

One fan argued: "Looks Amazing but where it is it won't Last Unfortunately!" But Becky hit back, noting that tatts can stay looking great if you give them the correct care.

She said: "They can last. If you have it done and heal it correctly."
