'I vomited after reading my mum's message to my husband - exposing their affair'

A pregnant woman's life has been turned upside down after she caught her husband in an affair with her own mother. The 26-year-old, who is four months pregnant, was left gobsmacked when she delved into his texts while he was busy in the shower.

She stumbled upon raunchy exchanges between her 30-year-old spouse and her mum, 52, who's been grieving her late husband for half a decade. Speaking on Reddit, the heartbroken wife shared: "I honestly had suspicions about my husband cheating. I went through his phone and I'm sick to my stomach thinking about what I saw.

"I saw pictures of my mum in lingerie and he was replying with pictures [of him naked]. I even saw a message of regret. He had said that maybe they should stop since he didn't want to hurt me but my mum said I wouldn't get hurt as long as they kept it all a secret. But what angered me the most was the message she sent a few days ago.

"[Her mum's message to her husband read]: 'I love you so much. More than you think. You've helped me through the passing of my beloved ex-husband and for that I truly thank you. I know it is hard for you to keep a secret like this, and for me, it is too. I love my daughter with all my heart but she will have to accept eventually that love is love and that the heart wants what it wants."

"I thought that ever since my husband died, nobody would ever love me because I'm just an old woman but you have shown me to love myself and made me feel young and sexy again.' She explained how her dad died five years ago from a stroke - and her mum vowed to never date again."

In the aftermath of unearthing this chilling affair, she quotes "I know they had sex after that message because that was the night he didn't come home until 1am due to 'work and paid overtime.' I actually threw up after reading that message. I have screenshots of the messages and have sent the videos to myself."

Upon confronting him about the scandalous texts, the man allegedly broke down into tears and began playing mind games. She vividly recalls: "He told me that I would be a bad mother if I left him and raised my child without a father because a baby needs a dad in their life to fully grow mentally and physically."

She took the matter into her own hands and decided to hire a solicitor and seek divorce. After this ordeal, she checked into a motel to spend a few nights alone. In her latest update, the woman confirms her safety and states she is living with a cousin. Despite cutting all ties with her cheating spouse and her mother, she confesses that forgetting them hasn't been straightforward.
