McDonald's are launching three brand new vegan 'ice-creams' – but only 52 stores in the UK will be able to get their hands on it.

Summer is here (kind of) and that means the fast food giant will be pleasing customers with their new range of frozen desserts – even those with dietary needs.

However, the mega-chain will only be trialling the Vegan Scoop in the North West and the Republic of Ireland. So tough luck for southerners who will have to make the pilgrimage for the new dessert that comes in two flavours.

Those lucky enough to treat themselves to the limited edition Vegan Scoop will be able to try mouth-watering flavours – Choco or Strawberry.

Or, hey, if you're feeling frivolous why not get both? Both flavours cost £1.59 and come in little tubs in two different colours depending on the flavour.

They are available from selected locations – not in the south – from today until Tuesday September 3.

The Choco and Strawberry Scoop have also got the stamp of approval from the Vegetarian Society and are vegan-approved.

If that's not enough to please dessert fans or vegans, then McDonald's have also launched the McFreezy, which is a frozen ice-pop made with fruit juice and puree.

It's available in either Orange or Mango and Pineapple flavours, but again, is not available in all stores.
