Just last weekend we saw another bidding war on eBay. The rare Kew Gardens 50p coin sold for a fortune after securing a lot of attention from Brits.

It was released to mark the 250th anniversary of the London landmark. The coin features the iconic Chinese Pagoda which is located at the touristic hotspot.

There's many reasons why the Kew Gardens 50p is a highly desirable coin. Firstly, it's popular due to its scarcity in circulation and also a commemorative coin.

The coin features a design celebrating the botanical garden, depicting the pagoda at Kew with a decorative leafy climber twining in and around the tower.
