Amber Luke has spent years covering 98% of her body in intricate tattoos, which sprawl over her skin from head to toe.
The alternative model, from Brisbane, Australia, shared dramatic snaps of her transformation with her 21,300 Instagram followers.
Seven years ago, she was a fresh-faced blonde with subtle stud earrings and a statement tattoo on her chest.
While nowadays, Amber has brightly coloured locks and multiple face piercings.
She's also covered in more than 600 inkings – from bold face calligraphy to geometric designs on her torso.
But the 26-year-old says the biggest change she's noticed has been in her mindset.
Amber captioned the post: "Seven year transformation. Seven years... wow. A lot happens in seven years.
"I can tell you that I've learnt a lot about the human anatomy – I have knowledge of infection control, tattooing and body modification.
"But most of all, I've learnt the most about myself.
"I have persevered through and endured so much pain – the amount of shock I have experienced is ridiculous haha.
"But, in saying that, I am strong. I am pliant – I am powerfully built. I am unapologetically me."
Amber's post has garnered more than 1,800 likes and plenty of comments of support.
One fan gushed: "Beautiful then, and even more beautiful now! You are amazing!"
Another swooned: "What a beautiful piece of art you have transformed into... so gorgeous and beautifully brave and untamed.
"We could all aspire to be more like this."
And a third added: "Amber you're such a beautiful person. Keep doing you, babe!"

The influencer, who first went under the needle as a teenager, has a passion for Satanic inkings.
She also has body modifications like dermal piercings, stretched ears and a split tongue.
Even though she’s altered her looks a lot over the years, it’s unlikely Amber will be stopping any time soon.
She's currently in the process of getting the sleeves on her arms blacked out, which is excruciatingly painful to do.
