Eamonn Holmes has reportedly been consoled by a women in her 40s amid his split from Ruth Langsford - but Ruth is said to not be too happy.
The presenter announced he was separating from his wife after 14 years together weekend. The broadcasting duo, both 64, tied the knot back in 2010 and have supported each other throughout their careers.
Most recently, Ruth has been looking after her spouse following his recent bout of medical issues, which led to a brief hospital stint. But after nearly 15 years of marriage, the couple have decided to go their separate ways.

Now, it’s been claimed Eamonn has grown close to an unknown woman since last year - but Ruth is said to be "angry" about it. According to The Sun, telly legend Eammon has enjoyed several outings with her and has reportedly spoiled her with gifts.
The pair are said to have visited a safari park, and Eamonn has also reportedly endorsed a charity linked to her work as well as help to host a fund-raising event free of charge. The woman is not said to be a reason for Eamonn’s marriage breakdown with Ruth.
Eamonn’s mystery woman’s name has never been mentioned. Apparently Eamonn has made sure not to reveal it on social media. What’s more, the publication also reports that Ruth was not aware of their meetings until recently.
A source said: “Ruth was obviously aware that her marriage was crumbling, but as details emerge, her upset has turned to anger. Eamonn's friend is bowled over by being lavished with attention and kindness from him.”
It’s been claimed Eamonn and the woman met on X, formerly known as Twitter, when she commented on a post. Pals also alleged how the woman’s skills include coping with “feeling sad” as well as “separation and divorce.”
Daily Star has contacted Eamonn and Ruth’s representatives for comment.
It comes after Eamonn has reportedly sparked concern from his pals as they say that he is "struggling" after the split from Ruth. Eamonn addressed the situation on his GB News show on Tuesday (May 28)
Speaking on the issue, Holmes reached out to thank his supporters for their messages of love to both him and Ruth as they both work through their individual grievances. During the emotional speech, he was seen clutching his wedding ring, and pals have now become concerned for his wellbeing.
A source close to the Northern Irish broadcasting legend said that Eamonn's mood has completely shifted since the break-up. Speaking to MailOnline, they said: "Eamonn used to be the bolshy star of daytime television, he was a confident and noisy member of the team.
"But he was clearly struggling recently – his marriage disintegrating as well as being in so much pain from his fall a couple of years ago was making him increasingly grumpy," the insider added. It adds to claims that Holmes was "blindsided" by the split from his now ex-wife.
