Conor McGregor was sensationally called out by UFC rival Michael Chandler during an episode of WWE Raw on Monday.

The former Bellator Lightweight Champion was at ringside at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, and was handed the microphone mid-way through the show. Chandler stood up and bellowed at the crowd, branding himself "the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet".

He then turned his attention to "a man from Ireland", announcing: "He's been making me wait for way too long... Conor McGregor! Get your candy-a** back to the Octagon! We got some unfinished business."

Chandler, 37, and McGregor, 35, have been tipped to face each other for some time, particularly since coaching against one another on The Ultimate Fighter 31 in early 2023. On New Year's Eve, McGregor announced he'd be facing Chandler in June, but UFC chief Dana White denied that a fight had been agreed.

Both fighters have inactive for a while, with McGregor's last match coming in 2021 and Chandler's coming in 2022. On both occasions, they were defeated by Dustin Poirier.

Will we see McGregor vs Chandler? Let us know in the comments section below.

Conor McGregor
McGregor hasn't fought since 2021

The Notorious' fighting career looks dead in the water, with UFC appearing reluctant to book him following his nasty leg break against Poirier. In the past three years he's focused on several outside ventures, including launching his new Forged Irish stout brand.

He's also dabbled in acting, and is set to star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in a remake of the 1989 film Road House. McGregor has also been linked with a move to WWE, and the fact the wrestling company were happy for Chandler to call McGregor out on their show suggests they may already have a working relationship with the Irishman.
