Ronda Rousey has launched a blistering attack on WWE and says there is no chance of her returning to the company.

The UFC legend arrived in WWE to much fanfare in 2018, debuting at the Royal Rumble and competing through to Wrestlemania 35. Her second stint began at the 2022 Royal Rumble and ended after SummerSlam in 2023.

However, there is highly unlikely to be a third stint judging by explosive comments she has made about pro wrestling’s dominant company. Rousey lifts the lid on her time in the company in her new book, ‘Our Fight’, due out next month.

Appearing on the Never Before Told podcast to promote the book, she was asked about behind the scenes stories that she would disclose. Rousey responded by calling WWE a “s*** show” and claiming that current wrestlers in terms of how they are booked in storylines were being “held captive by their organisation”.

She said: “Behind the scenes? How much of an absolute s*** show it is at the WWE because they can't hold the story over my head and hold me hostage with my own career.

“I don't need anything from them and I don't intend on going back, so I can say everything that I think and feel while everybody else is still held captive by their organisation.”

Following her most recent WWE departure, Rousey made a surprise return to wrestling for a Burlesque-themed promotion. She rocked up at the independent Lucha VaVOOM – which mixes in-ring action with risque entertainment – in Los Angeles in October.

She tagged-teamed with friend Marina Shafir, of All Elite Wrestling, to take on Brian Kendrick and Taya Valkyrie, whom she later posed with backstage for a photo. Reacting on her Instagram, Rousey wrote: "@luchavavoom was honestly the best Lucha/burlesque hybrid show I’ve ever had the pleasure of jumping into unannounced.

"Anyone who doubted me and @marinashafir could make magic in a ring is an idiot - thank you @thetayavalkyrie and @mr.briankendrick for being down to get down with us."
