Chester Police Commissioner Steven Gretsky issued photographs and the following information in the hopes of identifying a homicide suspect.

The homicide occurred on July 2 at about 11:20 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to a convenience store at 1100 Morton Ave. for a shooting victim inside the store. Upon officers’ arrival they were met by paramedics.

Officers entered the store and observed the victim on the floor.  Paramedics did determine the male was deceased, suffering a gunshot wound to the rear of his head. The victim was identified as Dontae Dickerson, 27.

Morton Avenue is a heavily traveled street by both vehicles and pedestrians. Based on the time and location, Gretsky says he believes there were several people in the area who may have seen the suspect.
