Evasive action! Truck full of new Toyota Prados destroyed – Video
A truck carrying a load of new Toyota Prados has rolled over, nearly crushing a taxi.
Some buyers waiting for their new Toyota LandCruiser Prado to be delivered will have to wait just a little bit longer as a crash involving a transport truck carrying the cars has been caught on dash cam.
The accident, captured on dashcam somewhere in China, shows the car-carrying truck attempting to pass a vehicle stopped behind a taxi, but then swerve to avoid an oncoming semi-trailer. The car transporter hits a low brick wall and rolls, narrowly crushing the taxi in the process.
There are four new Toyota Prados on board, which although secured well, suffer significant impact with the ground. A yellow minibus taxi is nearly crushed in the process, but five passengers can be seen safely leaving the car after the dust settles.
Through a joint venture with First Auto Works (FAW), Chinese-market 250-Series Toyota Prados are built at the FAW factory in Chengdu, in the same factory that builds the Chinese-market version of the Ford Bronco Sport.
Chinese market Toyota Prados are powered by a hybrid 2.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which delivers 243kW and 650Nm output. Buyers can opt for a five or six-seat layout in three trim grades.
