The ongoing humanitarian and border security crisis on the southwest border has stretched CBP resources and processing facilities to the breaking point. Establishing temporary facilities will support CBP efforts to process, care for and transfer the unprecedented number of families and unaccompanied children crossing the border illegally each day in a humane way, consistent with our border security mission and our American values. The facilities will provide overflow processing support to CBP Border Patrol stations in the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso and Donna, TX.
